Parts Clerk

Founded in 1967, our client is an organization that contributes to the economic and social development of Nunavik by providing its member cooperatives with support services and essential resources for their operations. Its activities span several sectors, including distribution and supply, retail, lodging, transportation, and construction. The organization also plays an important role in supporting the mechanical and logistical operations of communities in Northern Quebec.

As a Parts Clerk, you will play a key role in supporting mechanics. You will be responsible for identifying the required parts, coordinating orders with suppliers, and ensuring the necessary follow-ups to effectively meet the needs of field teams.

• Receive and process parts requests from mechanics and field teams.
• Research and identify the appropriate parts based on mechanical requirements and the specifications of vehicles or equipment.
• Communicate with suppliers to verify parts availability, obtain pricing, and place orders.
• Follow up on orders, delivery times, and outstanding requests.
• Work closely with service advisors and mechanics to facilitate operations.
• Use computer systems and request-management tools to track files.
• Occasionally travel to Northern Quebec to support operations on site.

• Good knowledge of mechanical parts and vehicles, ideally heavy vehicles.
• Ability to research and identify parts using technical information.
• Comfortable using computer tools and management systems.
• Strong organizational skills, resourcefulness, and attention to detail.
• Curiosity and ability to find solutions.
• Good communication skills and ease working with mechanics, colleagues, and suppliers.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple requests according to operational priorities.
