Buyer

We represent a company that is a Quebec flagship and a global leader in the aerospace industry. The company continues to grow and welcome new talent to its teams.

We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join the tooling team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a variety of technical purchases, analyzing internal customers’ needs, and identifying the best procurement solutions.

• Analyze purchase requests and obtain quotes from suppliers.
• Evaluate proposals received, negotiate as needed, and issue purchase orders.
• Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and tooling teams to meet operational needs.
• Ensure complete follow-up on orders, from the initial request through receipt and payment.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and procurement process improvement.
• Participate in monitoring performance indicators and support the organization’s various purchasing projects.

• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or technical environment.
• Good understanding of tooling, machining, manufacturing, or industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of SAP and/or Maximo systems. Ability to interpret mechanical or electrical drawings (asset).
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and results-oriented.
• Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously in an environment where priorities evolve rapidly.
